(ADDW-2) Copeland Symptom Checklist for Attention Deficit Disorders
The (ADDW-2) or Copeland Symptom Checklist for Adult ADHD is a screening tool designed to help healthcare professionals assess symptoms of attention deficit disorders in adults. It evaluates a patient's difficulties across various domains, including inattention, emotional difficulties, poor peer relations, and impaired family relationships, without generating a single total score. Instead, the checklist calculates the percentage of symptoms reported in each domain, with higher percentages indicating more severe difficulties that may warrant further discussion with a qualified professional.

Purpose and Use

Screening tool:
The checklist helps identify individuals who may be experiencing symptoms of adult ADHD.

Holistic assessment:
It goes beyond simple focus and impulsivity, examining emotional regulation, organization, and interpersonal relationships as potential areas of ADHD impact.

Identification of problem areas:
It helps pinpoint specific domains (e.g., emotional difficulties, peer relationships) where the individual faces significant challenges.
